"Amazon Bestsellers Viewer" Release !

Today I release "Amazon Bestsellers Viewers" ,which shows Amazon.com ranking 1 to 100 with each categories.

Left side of this site is thumbnail of ranking item images, and Right side is detail of the item which focused item in left side.

Mouse operation

click means clipping the item to the bottom of this site and double click means open the Amazon item page by new window.

Keyboard operation

h/j/k/l means move forcus , Enter/v means open the Amazon item page , s means clip the item ,and c/x means show the select categories menu.

The default display mode is 10 x 10, so if you want to check more larger thumbnail images , the "2" (not ten keys) means changing display mode to 5x5 mode.

I make a custom search page, which search from only Q & A sites, by using Google Custom Search Engine.

The searching Q & A sites are, Yahoo Answers, Microsoft's Live QnA, AnswerBag, Yedda, Wondir, and Askville.

This search can be used by iGoogle Gadget, which can be added iGoogle homepage or your website.

I make a simple Greasemonkey script, which reload Twitter page automatically every minute.

This script will be stopped by clicking the input text area, and restarts by unfocus the input text area.

I create new web service name "Color" on Google App Engine.

Color

Using this service ,you can record colors.

Click the color below "Select Color!", then the color post to the server and it will be recorded.

You can create your color palet in Setting page.

In public colors page, you can check colors posted in 24 hours and calculate average of the colors.

The Google Maps is customized for this event. In this map, visitor of this event can check the direction and programs.

This solution of Google Maps is very cool. I want this map on every busy downtown street. It will be very helpful.

Translate Twitter Greasemonkey and Bookmarklet

I create Translate Twitter Greasemonkey and Bookmarklet.
This script add "Translate!" link and language select pulldown on Twitter timeline.

The translate feature use Google AJAX Language API.

Execute script on Twitter page, you can see "translate!" link in timeline area.
Script information and language select pulldown are at the top of sidebar area.

If you click the "translate!" linke, you can see translated words after the post.

The language is auto detected by Google API.But if the word is too short ,the language cannot be detected and show the error message.

If you want to translate with API unsupported translation pair, first the word is translated to English and the translated english word will be translated to the language you want to.

I make the bookmarklet which search some linked files from href attribute.

Execute the bookmarket,then pop up prompt window. You input the filetype you want to search. period is not wanted. You want to search some file type at once, input commas separated words.

For example,This image is searching "js" file in jQuery Download page.The first ".js" link is high lighted red border and yellow back.

If there is next "js" file, confirm window will pop up.

Press "OK",the next link is high lighted.

Notes

The href attribute is separated "?" for cut off the GET parameters.

So the link likd "http://hoge/?moge.js" is could not be founded by this bookmarklet.

Google changes text input area length by the search word length

Google changes text input area length by the search word length.
When the search word is short word , the text input length is 41.

And when the search word is long , the text input length is 70.

Is this common sense?

I named "TAKUMI" to him.

It is became very easy to choose colors.

I create bookmaklet that create iGoogle theme xml for new API.

If you execute the bookmarklet in iGoogle Homepage, iGoogle theme editor area will be displayed.

For example, execute this bookmarklet in the iGoogle page ,

then the adapted design will be cleared and changed like this image.

The iGoogle Theme editor is displayed at the left side of gadget area. If you click each link ,the edit area is displayed.

After input the data, click the create XML link. You can get iGoogle Theme XML from the textarea.

Copy the text to plain text file, and saved as XML file.

Upload the XML file to server, and check the file use this link.

jQuery plugin "selectbox-utils" ,written in the "jQuery plugins : easy to create numeric selectbox and date select box " , has a bug. Use it in Opera , option tags became boubled like this image.

This is caused this code.

this.selectedIndex = settings.selectedIndex;

It was rewrited like this.

This is an unobtrusive jQuery plugin that makes easy to create numeric select box and date select box.

How to use
1.numericOptions method

config parameters
remove : true/false . delete exist option tags or not. (default true)
from : start number. (default 1)
to : end number (default 31)
selectIndex : selected index number (default 0)
namePadding : padding 0 length for name. (default 0)
valuePadding : padding 0 length for value. (default 0)

2.datePulldown method

Use this Excel sheet, you can manage tasks like MS-Project.

Input task name , planed start date ,and planed end date , scheduled line would be appeared on right side.

And if you done the task, input the exact start date and exact end date, the performance line would be appeared.
